About You In Home Care

I was an employee at About You In Home Care where I was a sitter who cared for foster children with disabilities on behalf of DCFS. Before I started with the company I was in nursing school working towards becoming a registered nurse. I realized early on that nursing was not how I was intended to help and care for those in need, After realizing a nursing career was not going to satisfy my need to care for patients I began working for About You In Home Care. It was by far the most rewarding job I have ever had in my life. The difference between nursing pay and sitters pay is eminence, but for me it was never about the money. It was about helping patients. Who better to help than a child in the foster system with an illness or disability that has no one from their family to be with them. I have never had job satisfaction like I had working with kids in need. So rewarding and humbling. If you are a sitter or CNA, I highly recommend About You. They take excellent care of their employees and were a delight to work for.

My father needed 24/7 care after losing my step mother. My brother and I both live out of state. So before we could get dad moved, this wonderful business was brought to my attention and it was the greatest decision I've ever made in regards to my dad. The amazing sitters were such a class act when taking care of dad. They called me whenever they had a question or simply to let me know dad was having a good or not so good day. When considering a service for your parents or anyone that need the care, please consider "About You." You will know your loved one is safe and cared for.

I called About You Sitting Services on the Northshore to speak to them about caring for my elderly parents. I needed someone to visit my parents at their home to help out with a few things. I was impressed with the compassion that was given to me. Tyler was so understanding and helpful to me. I would highly recommend using their services. It is a relief to both myself and my parents to have someone come to their home instead of any other alternatives.
